Negligence of doctors, tragic death of pregnant twins! District hospital doctor, staff suspended
The heartbreaking incident in which Baranthi and the twins died due to the mistake of the district hospital doctors took place near the Abhaya Anjaneyana Swamy temple in Bharatinagar, Tumkur city.
Bananti Kasturi (30) and twin children died. Kasturi, who hails from Tamil Nadu, was living in a rented house with her daughter for 1 month. Pregnant Kasturi had labor pains yesterday evening. Locals brought him to Tumkur district hospital in an auto.
The district hospital staff refused to register the absence of mother's card and Aadhaar card and the doctor also refused saying that we do not provide treatment. The staff told him to take him to Bangalore's Victoria Hospital, but without money to go to Bangalore, Kasturi returned home in pain.
Earlier today, Kasturi gave birth to a baby boy. Kasthuri and the twins also died due to hemorrhage while giving birth to another child.
Tumkur district hospital doctors are responsible for death of Bananti and two children. If it had been recorded when labor pains came, both the mother and the children would have lived. He expressed outrage that the doctors' negligence was the reason for the death of the three.
The hospital doctor and staff responsible for the incident have been suspended.
Tumkur DHO Manjunath Bananti and the doctor and staff responsible for the child's death had been instructed to suspend.
